One hundred forty seven grain full metal jacket bullets? What is it – 308 Winchester? Nope. It’s just the supersonic 300 AAC Blackout ammunition you need for turning range targets into former range targets!
That’s right: supersonic. This round’s not-all-that-massive 147 grain projectile screams out of the barrel at a satisfyingly even velocity of 2,000 fps (with reasonable give and take, and acknowledgement that the manufacturer does not report the length of their test barrel), which means it (A) careens downrange across a flat trajectory, and (B) isn’t the best companion to a suppressor you could have picked out.
American Quality Ammunition’s online presence is pretty much nil. They’re a Montana operation: founded in 1981 to capitalize on West Coast law enforcement agencies’ demand for training ammunition, and still chugging producing reliable materiel to this day. They owe their longevity to several things, including their attention to quality (appropriately enough) and high-quality components.
What kinds of high-quality components, you ask? Why, just the nonmagnetic (i.e. steel-free) bullets, nonhygroscopic (i.e. noncorrosive) Boxer primers, and brand new (i.e. reloadable) brass cases any good ammunition ought to have. Truly trustworthy stuff for all your plinkifying needs!
Do you want to spend all day opening boxes? Then this ammo’s not for you! It’s packaged in one big box – loose.
